- a backstop assembly at a downstream end of the stacking area having a plurality of backstop drive elements (6520) each having a hub (6610) and a plurality of leaf springs (6630) that extend from the hub radially outwardly and around at least a portion of the of a circumference of the hub and each of the leaf springs being constructed and arranged to frictionally engage and transfer a downstream end (6436) of each of the sheets into the backstop (6013) as the sheets are each released from the downstream-most feed drive element of the input section.
