Hierzu erfolgt eine Erhöhung der Haftneigung zwischen einem Kaltsiegelhaftbereich (8) des Verpackungsmittels (2) und einem weiteren Haftbereich (9) des Verpackungsmittels (2) mittels Reaktivieren des Kaltsiegelhaftbereichs (8) vor dem Verbinden des Kaltsiegelhaftbereichs (8) mit dem weiteren Haftbereich (9). Das Verpackungsmittel (2) wird hierzu von einer Rolle abgewickelt, wobei der Kaltsiegelhaftbereich (8) auf der einen Seite des Verpackungsmittels (2) und der weitere Haftbereich (9) auf der anderen Seite des Verpackungsmittels (2) angeordnet ist. Das wirksame Reaktivieren des Kaltsiegelhaftbereichs (8) erfolgt beim Abwickeln oder nach dem Abwickeln des Verpackungsmittels von der Rolle. Des Weiteren bezieht sich die Erfindung auf ein geeignetes Verpackungsmittel und die Verpackungsmaschine zum Verpacken der Produkte.
