    • The invention relates to a fire-extinguishing fitting, in particular in the form of a nozzle, comprising at least one water inlet end and at least one water outlet end, which are or can be connected to each other by means of a water passage in such a way that extinguishing water is conducted; wherein a component for controlling or changing an extinguishing-water flow flowing from the at least one water inlet end to the at least one water outlet end is provided in the water passage. The fire-extinguishing fitting according to the invention is characterized in that a solid wetting agent holder is inserted in the water inlet end and/or the water outlet end in such a way that the solid wetting agent holder can be removed through the water inlet end or the water outlet end, which solid wetting agent holder has an insert, around which extinguishing water can flow and which has an inner accommodating space for accommodating a solid wetting agent.

    • A hose handling apparatus for gripping, advancing, and maneuvering a high pressure hose is provided. The hose handling apparatus comprises a support member comprising a first end, a middle section, and a second end, a generally cylindrical handle detachably connected to and substantially perpendicular to the first end of the support member forming a rigid connection with the support member to provide grip to a user's hand, a first generally cylindrical curvilinear gripping element detachably connected to and substantially perpendicular to the middle section of the support member, and a second generally cylindrical curvilinear gripping element detachably connected to and substantially perpendicular to the second end of the support member. The support member is angled at the middle section. The handle and the gripping elements form a parallel configuration which is perpendicular to a planar surface of the support member. The gripping elements grip the hose positioned between them firmly.
