    • The invention provides a stamping device (1) for stamping eggs (8). The stamping device comprises an egg conveyor with at least one conveyor track for eggs and a stamping element (6) disposed above the at least one conveyor track, on the bottom side of which stamping element a stamping surface (7) which is vertically movable relative to the path of movement of the eggs is provided, and which comprises ink supply means for supplying ink to the stamping surface.
