摘要： A lock mechanism operated by inner and outer lever handles (74, 36) provides a security classroom function and includes inner and outer lock mechanisms that are independently switchable between locked and unlocked states by inner and outer lock cylinders (200, 60) and keys (202, 60). The inner handle (74) always operates the lock mechanism to retract a latch bolt. The outer handle (36) can only retract the latch bolt when both the inner and outer lock mechanisms are in the unlocked state. The outer key (60) can retract the latch bolt when the inner lock mechanism is in the locked state, but cannot change the inner lock mechanism to the unlocked state or enable the outer handle (36), thereby ensuring positive control over the locked state of the outer handle (36) from the inner side.

摘要： A lockset (10) for a door comprising a latchbolt assembly (36) including a bolt (40) movable between a partially extended latching position, a fully extended deadbolt position and a retracted position. A spindle (38) extends through the latchbolt assembly in a direction transverse of the direction of movement of the bolt (40). The spindle (38) is connected to the bolt for moving the bolt (40) between its positions upon rotation of the spindle. An operating assembly includes a hand operator (16) having a locking member (23) therein, a first plate (54) mounted for linear movement in a direction transverse to the axis of the spindle (38) and having a pair of ears (99, 101) vertically spaced about and generally aligned with the longitudinal axis of the spindle (38). A pivotally mounted actuator member (51) is movable in response to the hand operator (16) and has first and second surfaces (72, 74) vertically spaced about and generally aligned with the longitudinal axis of the spindle (38) and in engagement with the pair of ears (99, 101) such that pivotal movement of the actuator (51) produces linear movement of the first plate (54).

The lock core (10) is made substantially symmetrical about a vertical plane, instead of a horizontal plane, and the inner and outer sides of the lock mechanism can be interchanged. A heavy-duty locking piece (86), including a pair of locking lugs (82, 84) that directly engage the lock core (10) near its inner perimeter, allow the lock to withstand abusive forces applied through the lever handle (36). Endplay is nearly completely eliminated through the use of collars (48, 70) that connect the interchangeable inner and outer sides of the lock to the lock core (10).

摘要： The present invention relates to a latch (16) having a button pawl shaft (109) for attaching two panels together at two different points. The shaft (109) of the latch (6) has bezels (107) in which the shaft (109) rotates connected to one of the panels. The shaft (109) has pawls (108) at both ends which engage a keeper (11) on a second panel and disengage and clear the keeper (11) when a force is applied to the button (106) on the shaft (109) thereby rotating the shaft (109). A precompressed torsion spring (110) provides a force on the button (106) at all times. When a user presses on the button (106) thereby rotating the shaft (109) such that the pawls (108) disengage with keepers (11) the spring (110) will rotate the shaft (109) and button (106) back to the same position as that prior to the user applying a force on the button (106).
