摘要： A method and apparatus for affixing a liner on a cartridge half, in which the time from punching the liner until bonding the liner to the cartridge half may be shortened, while contamination of the liner may be prevented. To this end, the liner affixing apparatus includes a transporting mechanism having a holding mechanism for holding a cartridge half on which a liner is to be mounted. The transporting mechanism is configured to sequentially transport a cartridge half held by the holding mechanism, a liner feed mechanism for sequentially running a liner blank so that the liner blank faces the inner surface of the cartridge half held by the holding mechanism at least at the position of punching the liner blank to a pre-set shape, and a liner punching mechanism arranged for movement in a direction substantially perpendicular to the major surface of the liner blank at the punching position. The liner punching mechanism is moved in the punching direction at the punching position to punch the liner blank to a pre-set shape. The liner punching mechanism is also moved in succession in the punching direction to arrange the liner on the inner surface of the cartridge half held by the holding mechanism.

The reservoir foils are applied per track on a transport element moving discontinuously in longitudinal direction using the adhesive layer thereof. After separating sections of the size of a patch the same are transferred to a further transport element that is moved continuously for depositing the same at a distance. The present invention provides a method for multi-track tailoring, wherein web-shaped reservoir foils, which can be unwound from rolls, may be utilized without producing any waste containing the active ingredient.

摘要： The present invention discloses a sheet material useful as an innerseal that comprises a dimensionally stable substrate having at least 0.001 g/cm2 of a tack-free, shear-activated adhesive on one surface. The composition includes from 1 to 15 parts by weight of a block copolymer, from 1 to 25 parts by weight of a tackifier, and from 60 to 100 parts by weight of either a microcrystalline wax or an amorphous polyolefin. A mixture of the two can be used. The sheet material is shear-activated and does not adhere or block to itself or other surfaces until a shear force is applied to it. Additionally, it does not require special heating equipment in order to adhere it to surfaces. In a preferred aspect of the invention the innerseal leaves a residue on the lip around a container opening thereby providing a visible indication of removal.
