摘要： The invention relates to a method and a jig for constructing a carcase-type article of furniture. A panel (102) which is to form a part (e.g. a door) of the finished article, is placed down on a horizontal surface. A jig is assembled around the panel (102) using the panel (102) as a template, the jig incorporating abutment blocks (111-113) to contact the edges of the panel (102) and locating blocks (124) in predetermined positions relative to the abutment blocks to define the positions of the carcase walls and to locate the walls in position while being secured to one another. The carcase walls are cut to the desired size, and placed edge down within the locating blocks (124) of the jig. Securing the walls to one another now forms a carcase the walls of which are correctly aligned with the edges of the panel.

摘要： The invention comprises a door attaching apparatus (20) for positioning and aligning a door (24) for attachment to a doorway. The apparatus (20) has a mobile frame (21) adapted to be moved upon a surface. The mobile frame has a first frame (22). A handle-operated cam mechanism (54) is mounted between the first (22) and second (23) frames to cam the first frame (22) and thereby the door (24) upward and downward on the mobile frame (21) to align the door (24) in another direction for its attachment to the doorway. A ground engaging mechanism (33) is mounted to the mobile frame to engage the ground to provide additional support for the apparatus (20).

In addition, the adjustable support (40; 140) can be angled in correspondence with a wall frame (W; W'; W'') which has a top plate (T) extending to an angle relative to the bottom plate (B). A laser projection system may be used to locate the elements (B, T, S, J, C, H, O, D) of the wall frame (W; W'; W''). However, the table (10; 110) may include an offset locator (205, 207) to permit entirely manual setup and assembly with minimal effort and skill.
