    • In a screen generation system (100), an item name management unit (201) stores item name information (211) that defines a correspondence relation between a master item name being a fixed item name and a used item name being a variable item name. A data acquisition unit (420) acquires, from a database (300), an item name set for each item in a table (301) and data stored in each item in the table (301). An item name conversion unit (431) refers to the item name information (211) stored in the item name management unit (201), so as to identify a master item name corresponding to the same used item name as the item name acquired by the data acquisition unit (420), and converts the item name acquired by the data acquisition unit (420) into the identified master item name. A screen generation unit (440) generates a screen (441) to display the item name after being converted by the item name conversion unit (431) and the data acquired by the data acquisition unit (420).

    • A host system which executes an emulation environment for modelling a logical behavior of an industrial control device may execute a clock management module to scale execution time in the emulation environment to more accurately reflect execution time of the industrial control device. The clock management module may operate to receive repeatable ticks based on a real time clock of the host system. The repeatable ticks may be used to measure execution of a portion of an industrial control program in the emulation environment, which measure may be compared to a reference value for executing the same portion on the industrial control device. The host system may then temporarily stall execution in the emulation environment to match execution on the industrial control device.

    • A method and a system for displaying MES records on a grid in a MES client screen, where the MES records to be displayed are a set of records resulting from a query to a database by the MES client, and the record set is to be displayed via a number of grid pages (100), each grid page (100) displaying a corresponding record subset (102); each grid page (100) can be displayed on the MES screen by selecting given grid pager navigation commands (201), the invention comprising the following:

    • In a method of and a system for managing product definition updates in the control of a manufacturing process via a MES system, design information entities each defining manufacturing specifications for a specific product and including sets of data concerning different manufacturing steps are downloaded to the MES system (100). At the first download, first and second MES information entities (in short, first and second entities) are created within the MES system and stored into a database (101). The first entities have associated second entities each including data for a manufacturing step for that product and include links to the associated second entities in the database. At each update of a design information entity (102), a differential package including the whole of the data for a set having undergone changes and for newly added sets, and an identification for unchanged sets, is downloaded to the MES system (103). A new version of the second entities corresponding to sets having undergone changes and/or additional second entities corresponding to sets of data that have been added are created and stored into the database (104), and a new version of the first entity is created (104) by: replacing, for an updated second entity, the link to an existing version of the entity by a link to the new version; adding links to newly created second entities; and deleting links to second entities corresponding to sets of data deleted from a design information entity.
