    • Method for detection of a water leakage from a water installation, where the flow is monitored in several consecutive flow bands (5). Each band (5) has a lower and an upper limit (4) and an integrator. The band integrator calculates the total amount of flow inside the band since the last reset. The band integrator is reset when the flow drops below the lower band boundary. When the flow exceeds the upper band boundary the next band integrator is activated. All band integrator values are summed. The output value (2) of the compound integrator is compared against a protection level (4), and an alarm is set off if the protection level is exceeded.

    • When, according to the invention, the supply water installation in buildings, such as schools, institutions and the like, is protected with a leak protection system, which is capable of registering the presence of individuals in the building by means of movement sensors (5), these sensors (5) will be able to a apply a signal (5a) to a control box (4), so that forced opening of the shutoff valve (3) may take place in case of fire.
      The control box (4) has two phases, viz. monitoring via the sensors (5) of a populated building and a depopulated building, respectively, and thereby the possibility of changing phase and thus switching the system from a leak monitoring system, which is capable of giving an alarm, but not of shutting off the water, to a leak protection system, which is capable of giving an alarm and shutting off the water. This switching takes place automatically, which gives the greatest possible certainty of both leak protection and pressure water in case of fire.

    • The object of the invention is to create a central water-loss prevention system which blocks the main water feed pipe after intentional or unintentional removal or leakage of a water volume limit fixed for each application, said limit being, in the opinion of insurers, below the limit for causing damage for each application, and consequently prevents further removal. The central water-loss prevention system in a main water feed pipe is characterised in that a volume counter comparing a volume limit fixed for the corresponding application with the volume removed is operatively connected to a shut-off device of the main water feed pipe in such a manner that when the preset volume limit has flowed through a command closing the shut-off device is triggered and when a volume limit lower than the preset volume limit has flowed through there is no triggering of the command closing the shut-off device. The invention relates to a central water-loss prevention system in a main water feed pipe from which a plurality of removal points or consumers can be supplied with water, for example the main water feed pipe of a detached house or a house for several families, the main water feed pipe of an individual flat or an individual business or a construction site water supply pipe. In such cases normal water removal for any removal volumes must be ensured and, at the same time, unintentional discharge of water must be prevented at the removal points and in entire pipe systems.
