摘要： Even when transmitted waves of multiple systems become approximately out of phase while diversity transmission is performed in a W-CDMA wireless system (1), synchronization establishment determination is more adequately performed. A W-CDMA wireless system comprises a base station and a user equipment. The base station diversity-transmits a common channel and a dedicated channel which is particular to the user equipment; the user equipment measures reception quality of the dedicated channel and a phase difference between respective channels diversity-transmitted from the base station. The user equipment also estimates the bit error rate of the transmit power control bits in the dedicated channel and performs synchronization establishment determination based on the estimated bit error rate and the quality and phase measurements.

摘要： A wireless communication device or system generates transmit power control feedback for a received power control channel by determining a command error rate (CER), or by identifying a target signal quality for the power control channel according to a defined signal-quality-to-CER mapping function. Generally, the power control channel does not include error-coded data to use for CER estimation. However, in one embodiment, the channel does include known reference bits that are evaluated for CER estimation, with the estimated CER used to set the signal quality target for inner loop power control. In other embodiments, a computed reception error probability is used to identify a CER estimate according to a defined probability-to-CER mapping function. By way of non-limiting example, these embodiments may be used to provide power control feedback for power control commands transmitted on a Fractional Dedicated Physical Channel in WCDMA systems.

According to the method, newer transmit power control (TPC) commands are compared to older TPC commands received from the node. If an output signal generated from the comparing step exceeds a threshold, a signal-to-interference ratio (SIR) for a downlink (DL) from the node is measured. Furthermore, it is determined, based on the measured SIR, whether the node is following TPC commands sent to the node in the UL. If the node is not following the TPC commands, OoS is determined. 摘要： In a compressed mode, a spread spectrum communication device interleaves bit units across multiple frames using an interleaver, reduces the spreading factor using a framing/spreading unit, outputs the compressed mode frames at a predetermined compressed mode frame timing, and increases the average transmission power in the compressed mode at a radio frequency transmitter. Furthermore, a handover between different frequencies is carried out by establishing synchronization to another frequency carrier, based on a first search code and a second search code which have been detected, and moreover, a handover between different communication systems is carried out by establishing synchronization to a GSM, based on an FCCH and a SCH which have been detected.
