    • The present invention discloses a directional link maintenance method and a station STA, to improve accuracy and timeliness of directional link availability determined by the STA. The method in the embodiments of the present invention includes: monitoring, by a first station STA, an information packet, where the information packet carries first identification information, and the first identification information is used to identify a first directional transmit beam that is used a second STA when the second STA sends the information packet; determining, by the first STA, whether the information packet is an information packet that is sent by the second STA to a third STA, and obtaining the first identification information if the information packet is an information packet that is sent by the second STA to the third STA; and determining, by the first STA, whether the first identification information matches preset second identification information, and if the first identification information matches the preset second identification information, determining, by the first STA, that the first directional transmit beam matches a second directional transmit beam, and changing a value of a counter that corresponds to a directional link between the first STA and the second STA, where the second directional transmit beam is a directional transmit beam determined by the second STA on the directional link through beam training, and the second identification information is used to identify the second directional transmit beam.

    • A method in a Radio Access Network Congestion Awareness Function, RCAF (200), of sending, to a Policy and Charging Rules Function, PCRF (100, 100-1 - 100-3), of a mobile communications network (1), congestion information (415) for a plurality of mobile entities, UEs (400-1 - 400-8), each one of the plurality of UEs (400-1 - 400-8) being connected to a respective radio access network (10) of the mobile communications network (1) and associated with the PCRF (100, 100-1 - 100-3), the congestion information (415) indicating congestion of the respective radio access network (10). The method comprising sending a Radio Access Network User Plane Congestion Information, RUCI, report (501) for transmitting congestion information of a given UE (400-1-400-8) to a PCRF (100, 100-1 - 100-3), including congestion information (415) and an identity (414) of the given UE (400-1 - 400-8) of the plurality of UEs (400-1 - 400-8), wherein the RUCI report (501) is routed by a Diameter Routing Agent, DRA (600) to the PCRF (100, 100-1 - 100-3), and receiving a response message (502) including an identity (413) of the PCRF (100, 100-1 - 100-3) associated with the given UE (400-1 - 400-8). The method further comprising aggregating the congestion information (415) for at least some of the plurality of UEs (400-1-400-8) based on the respective UEs (400-1 - 400-8) being associated with the PCRF (100, 100-1 - 100-3), and sending a message (411-1, 411-3) including the aggregated congestion information (415) to the PCRF (100, 100-1 - 100-3), wherein said sending of the message (411-1, 411-3) employs the retrieved identity (413) of the PCRF (100, 100-1 - 100-3) to route the message (411-1, 411-3) to the PCRF (100, 100-1 - 100-3).
