摘要： Provided is an optical cross-connect device whereby, in an optical node in an optical network, it is possible to easily support even an increase in the number of optical fibers between optical nodes. In an optical cross-connect device (OXC), an optical cross-connect unit (OXC1) comprises an internal connection input port (Pni1) and an internal connection output port (Pno1) for expansion, which are not connected to other optical cross-connect units. By connecting an internal connection output port and an internal connection input port of an optical cross-connect unit for expansion (OXCA) which the respective internal connection input port and internal connection output port for expansion of the optical cross-connect unit (OXC1), it is possible to inexpensively and easily install a new optical cross-connect unit in response to increases in the optical fibers which are connected to the optical node.

摘要： The present invention discloses a device and a method for colorless optical switching, where the device includes: a demultiplexer, configured to demultiplex the input multi-wavelength light into multiple beams of light with single wavelength; a first optical cross unit, configured to receive the multiple beams of light with single wavelength, obtained by the demultiplexer in the way of demultiplexing, and output the multiple beams of light with single wavelength through target ports; an optical switch array, configured to receive the multiple beams of light with single wavelength output by the first optical cross unit, drop the light that needs to be dropped from multiple beams of light with single wavelength output by the first optical cross unit, receive the light added by the local node, and output the light that needs to pass in the multiple beams of light with single wavelength output by the first optical cross unit and the light added by the local node; and a combiner, configured to combine the light output by the optical switch array. The optical switch device and method provided in the embodiments of the present invention feature colorlessness, low insertion loss, and low costs.

摘要： Apparatus and methods for rack level pre-installed interconnect for enabling cableless server, storage, and networking deployment. Plastic cable waveguides are configured to couple millimeter-wave radio frequency (RF) signals between two or more Extremely High Frequency (EHF) transceiver chips, thus supporting millimeter-wave wireless communication links enabling components in the separate chassis to communicate without requiring wire or optical cables between the chassis. Various configurations are disclosed, including multiple configurations for server chassis, storage chassis and arrays, and network/switch chassis. A plurality of plastic cable waveguide may be coupled to applicable support/mounting members, which in turn are mounted to a rack and/or top-of-rack switches. This enables the plastic cable waveguides to be pre-installed at the rack level, and further enables racks to be installed and replaced without requiring further cabling for the supported communication links. The communication links support link bandwidths of up to 6 gigabits per second, and may be aggregated to facilitate multi-lane links.

摘要： An optical interconnection system and method are provided. The system includes two or more than two basic units (1) that are stacked and interconnected. The basic unit (1) includes an optical network layer (11) and an electrical layer (12). In each basic unit (1), the optical network layer (11) is electrically interconnected with the electrical layer (12); and the optical network layer (11) of each basic unit (1) is optically interconnected with an optical network layer (11) of an adjacent basic unit (1). In this method, through optical interconnection between optical network layers (11), an optical signal is transmitted between the optical network layers (11), and an electrical signal is transmitted at the electrical layer (12), so that signal transmission and data processing are implemented between stacked layers that are optically interconnected. Through optical interconnection in three-dimensional space, a limitation on a quantity of stacked electrical layers is reduced, and efficiency of signal transmission is increased.
