摘要： Methods and systems for processing a video for stabilization are described. A recorded video may be stabilized by removing at least a portion of shake introduced in the video. An original camera path for a camera used to record the video may be determined. A crop window size may be selected and a crop window transform may accordingly be determined. The crop window transform may describe a transform of the original camera path to a modified camera path that is smoother than the original camera path. A smoothness metric indicative of a degree of smoothness of the modified path may be determined. Based on a comparison of the smoothness metric to a predetermined threshold, for example, the crop window transform may be applied to the original video to obtain a stabilized modified video.

摘要： A displacement detection method for a portable autonomous device having an integrated image sensor. The method comprises several steps. In the first step a current digital image is received from the image sensor; the current digital image depicting a background scene. Then, the position of a first area within the current digital image is chosen. Afterwards, a later digital image is received from the image sensor depicting an overlapping portion of the background scene. Then, the position of a second area matching to the first area within the later digital image is identified. After a match has been identified, the first and second areas depict approximately the same portion of the background scene. Then, a current motion vector of the portable autonomous device is calculated, according to a displacement between the first area and the second area.

摘要： A method for adjusting a pointing angle of an actively stabilized camera is provided. The camera is housed by an active stabilization system configured to stabilize the camera in accordance with a commanded pointing angle. The active stabilization system comprises a steering member rotatable around one or more of a pan axis, tilt axis, and roll axis of the system. The method comprises: deriving a joint angle measurement of the steering member associated with a rotational movement of the steering member and adjusting the pointing angle of the camera, based on the derived joint angle measurement, in a direction of the rotational movement of the steering member, if the joint angle measurement exceeds the threshold window. If the joint angle measurement is within the threshold window, the pointing angle of the camera is actively stabilized in accordance with the commanded pointing angle.
