摘要： A combined depth map is generated for a monoscopic image based on a weighted combination of a color depth map, a spatial depth map, and a motion depth map for the image, each describing the depth of pixels in the image relative to the image plane. The color depth map determines the depth of pixels according to their color, the spatial depth map determines the depth of pixels according to their location in the image, and the motion depth map determines the depth of pixels according to their motion in the image. Each of the depth maps is associated with a weight that is used to generate the weighted combination. The weights are adaptive to account for variation between different monoscopic images.

摘要： A monoscopic low-power mobile device is capable of creating real-time stereo images and videos from a single captured view. The device uses statistics from an autofocusing process to create a block depth map of a single capture view. Artifacts in the block depth map are reduced and an image depth map is created. Stereo three-dimensional (3D) left and right views are created from the image depth map using a Z-buffer based 3D surface recover process and a disparity map which is a function of the geometry of binocular vision.

摘要： The present application discloses a Three Dimensions (3D) video conversion system and method, and a key frame selection method and apparatus thereof. The key frame selection method includes: after the i th key frame is determined, calculating feature matching ratios of video frames after the i th key frame in a 2D video; selecting video frames each of which has a feature matching ratio within the range of T 1 ∼ T 2 as candidate key frames; selecting a video frame from the candidate key frames as the ( i +1)th key frame according to re-projection errors of the candidate key frames. Since key frames are selected according to the feature matching ratios of video frames to the previous key frame, and the later key frame is selected according to the re-projection errors of the candidate key frames. Thus the selection for key frames is more reasonable, and the 2D to 3D video conversion based on more reasonable key frames may improve converted 3D video quality.
