    • The proposed technology relates to methods and radio network nodes for Explicit Congestion Notification, ECN, marking of user traffic in wireless communication networks. For example, a method performed by a sending radio network node (10) comprises the step of monitoring (S10) a congestion metric on a data radio bearer, and the step of transmitting (S20) control information indicating traffic congestion on the same data radio bearer, based on the monitored congestion metric, to a receiving radio network node (20).Further, a method performed by a receiving radio network node (20) comprises the step of receiving (S100) control information indicating traffic congestion on a data radio bearer, based on a congestion metric, from a sending radio network node (10), and the step of marking (S200) next ECN-capable user packet of the user traffic on the same data radio bearer with ECN marking, based on the received control information.

    • A method implemented in a network device of a software-defined network (SDN) system for compressing network state of the SDN system is disclosed. The method comprises combining flow tables for a set of the network elements into a combined table, wherein each row within the combined table is keyed off a common field of each flow table. The method continues with selecting a set of columns of the combined table for compression, wherein the selection is based at least partially on topology of the set of the network elements within the network, and compressing the set of columns of the combined table into a set of compressed entries and a set of classification and regression trees (CaRTs), wherein upon a request for an entity within a predicted subset, an entity within a predicting subset and a corresponding CaRT are used to restore the entity within the predicted subset.

    • Embodiments of the present invention provide a method and an apparatus for controlling a service data flow, which relate to the field of communications technologies. The method includes: acquiring, by a controller, index information related to a UE, where the index information includes at least a user information index, a PDN connection index, a bearer index, and a service data flow table index that are related to the UE; sending, by the controller, the index information to a forwarder by using an entry notification message; when a first control event of a service data flow is triggered, acquiring, by the controller, a first instruction index according to the first control event, where the first instruction index includes at least one type of the index information related to the UE; and sending, by the controller, the first instruction index to the forwarder by using first control signaling. In the present invention, when a first control event of a service data flow is triggered, a first instruction index is sent to a forwarder according to the first control event, so as to instruct the forwarder to control the service data flow according to the first instruction index, thereby reducing link overheads for controlling a service data flow, and greatly improving control efficiency.
