    • Provided are a method for implementing counting control of a counter in a network chip, and a network chip. The method includes: periodically generating a counting value scanning message; reading a counting value of a corresponding counter item according to the generated counting value scanning message; analyzing and judging whether the read counting value is less than a preset overflow threshold; and informing the processor to handle counting abnormality of the counter when the read counting value is not less than the preset overflow threshold. The system can realize the periodic diagnosis on the counting state of the counter in the network chip by using a packet generator and a message processing engine, so as to prevent the processor from constantly sampling the counter to check the state of the counter, and ensure the calculation performance of the processor.

    • A method for sending a wireless packet is described. A signal strength of a client is acquired. A priority queue to which the client belongs is set according to the signal strength of the client. A priority of a wireless packet to be sent to the client is set according to the priority queue so as to send the set wireless packet. In the meanwhile, a device for sending a wireless packet is also described. The disclosure can be utilized to put a wireless packet sent to a remote client (STA) having a weak signal into a low priority service queue and put a wireless packet sent to a close STA having a strong signal strength into a high priority service queue, so as to ensure data transmission of the close STA having a good signal and reduce the impact of the remote STA having a weak signal on the performance of the whole wireless network, thus improving reasonable allocation of wireless network resources and the Quality of Service (QoS) of the wireless network to further improve the satisfaction of user experience.

    • Techniques are provided for optimizing a choice of relay servers for optimizing network traffic flow between peer devices in a network. An allocate request message is received from a router device in a network and is destined for a relay server in the network. The message requests a public identifier from the relay server for the client device. Identifier information is inserted in the message that indicates an identity of the router device. A server device configured to operate as a relay server in the network receives the allocate request message. Based on the identifier information, the server device selects a particular router device in the network path to operate as a newly designated relay server for the client device. The server device sends to the client device an alternate server response message that indicates that the particular router device is selected as the newly designated relay server.
