摘要： Techniques are described for forwarding traffic within an Ethernet Virtual Private Network (EVPN) fabric of port-extenders by modeling a port-extender as a port-extender Ethernet segment. For example, a method includes receiving, by a provider edge (PE) device of a plurality of PE devices configured with an EVPN instance reachable by a port-extender Ethernet segment connecting the plurality of PE devices to a port-extender device, an EVPN route including information identifying an extended-port of the port-extender device associated with the port-extender Ethernet segment; storing, by the PE device, the information identifying the extended-port of the port-extender device associated with the port-extender Ethernet segment; and generating, by the PE device, a packet header of a data packet to be forwarded toward the extended-port of the port-extender device, the packet header including the information identifying the extended-port of the port-extender device.

The method includes: receiving, by an ONT, a detection configuration instruction, and configuring a maintenance end point (MEP) according to the detection configuration instruction; configuring a performance detection path from the MEP to the VMEP according to states of the virtual maintenance end points (VMEP) configured on a main node and a backup node, wherein the VMEP includes two virtual MEPs configured on the main node and backup node, the IDs of the two virtual MEPs are identical, at the same moment, the state of one virtual MEP is main, the state of the other virtual MEP is backup, and the main node and the backup node are access aggregation gateways; and transmitting a message to a node corresponding to the virtual MEP with the main state. When the node states of the main node and backup node are switched, the optical network terminal may automatically switch the performance detection path to the node corresponding to the virtual MEP, in order to continue to perform the network performance detection.

摘要： A method performed by a slave network edge node (e.g., a Broadband Network Gateway BNG2) for enhancing a Long Term Evolution (LTE) backup channel in the event of a failure of a master network edge node (e.g., BNG1) in a wireline network. When BNG2 detects the failure of BNG1, BNG2 sends a failure update message to a Packet Data Network Gateway (PDN GW) of an LTE network. The PDN GW provides a backup channel for the CPE to reach the wide area network over a mobile tunnel. Before the failure the mobile tunnel has an end point at BNG1, and the failure update message notifies the PDN GW that the end point of the mobile tunnel has changed from BNG1 to BNG2. After BNG2 receives a failure acknowledgement message from the PDN GW, BNG2 routes the traffic from the PDN GW over the mobile tunnel to the wide area network.

摘要： Embodiments of this application provide a packet processing method in a cloud computing system, a host, and a system. At least one network interface card is connected to the host. The at least one network interface card includes switching equipment and at least three network ports. A first virtual machine running on the host sends a data packet to a second virtual machine by using the VF that is connected to the first virtual machine. The data packet carries a VLAN identifier of the VF that sends the data packet. Switching equipment of a first network port receives the data packet, and forcibly forwards the data packet to the second network port by using the network cable. Switching equipment of the second network port sends, according to the VLAN identifier carried in the data packet, the data packet to a VLAN subinterface that has a same VLAN identifier as the data packet. The VLAN subinterface receives the data packet, removes the VLAN identifier in the data packet, and sends the data packet to the virtual network function module. The virtual network function module performs network function processing on the changed data packet, and sends the processed data packet to the second virtual machine. In a network interface card passthrough scenario, after sending a data packet by using a passthrough VF, a virtual machine may send the data packet to a virtual network function module on a VMM in the foregoing manner. Abundant virtual network functions are provided for a user by using the software module, so as to implement virtual network function processing on the data packet.
