摘要： A method of providing a software patch to an electronic device. A device containing a software patch for an electronic device may be plugged to an electrical outlet. A plurality of electronic devices may be queried, over a power line through the electrical outlet, for identifying the electronic device requiring the software patch. As a result, the electronic device requiring the software patch may also identify the version of the firmware installed on the electronic device. Test signals may be sent over the power line to determine the signal quality of various multiple carriers for using OFDM scheme. Suitability of various sub-carriers for sending the software patch over the power line may be determined. Higher density modulation may be used for higher quality sub-carriers to send the software patch to the electronic device. An acknowledgment signal for receipt of the properly received authenticated software patch may be received.

An analog switch is previously interposed between two discharging resistors R5 and R6. In sending an AMI signal to two lines (P1, P2) of a transmission path 4, an MCU 30 executes discharge control to cause the analog switch S1 to achieve an OFF state when a high level signal voltage is output, and to cause the analog switch S1 to achieve an ON state when a low level signal voltage is output.

摘要： A self-contained branch circuit monitor 2 is has a small form factor configured to fit in the limited space available in a load center 1, in association with a branch circuit breaker 10A occupying a branch location slot 45 in the load center 1. A flexible printed circuit board 4 is wrapped around an outside circumference of a toroidal sensor coil 6 of a current transformer. A current monitoring circuit 15 is formed on the flexible printed circuit board. The monitoring circuit is electrically connected to leads 7, 9 from the sensor coil and is powered by current 17 induced in the sensor coil from current 5 in the branch circuit wire. A branch circuit wire 3A is threaded through the current transformer's center. A transmitter 22 is part of the flexible printed circuit board, to transfer the monitored current data to other locations.

摘要： A Low Voltage, "LV", network automation system (100) is provided which enables utilities to remotely identify location of LV faults on their networks, isolate these faults and re-energising the healthy LV circuit by remote control. The hardware for this system is designed to be retrofitted into existing LV switchgears (120,125) and panels which enables the network change over to be done cost effectively and with minimum interruption to the network. The system also enables utilities to monitor load flows on the LV networks and identify circuits which are overloaded and gives control room operator options for redistribution of network load where possible.
