    • A motor (10) for an electrohydraulic actuator (EHA). The motor (10) comprises a rotary shaft (12) for rotation about an axis (R), a rotor (16) attached to the rotary shaft (12) and rotatable therewith, a stator (14) surrounding at least a portion of the rotor (16) and a liner (18) disposed between the rotor (16) and the stator (14). The liner (18) defines an axially extending chamber (17) around the rotor (16) for retaining a fluid between the rotor (16) and the liner (18). The liner (18) comprises a tubular body having an open end and a closed end. The tubular body comprises first and second axially extending portions (18b, 18c) that are not radially aligned with the rotor (16) and the stator (14) and a third axially extending portion (18a) that is radially aligned with the rotor (16) and the stator (14). The third portion (18a) comprises a resin impregnated fibre composite. An EHA comprising the motor (10) is also claimed.

    • This invention relates to a rotor for an electric motor, and an object of this invention is to maintain a rotor sub-assembly at an appropriate position without using a spacer and without applying excessive compressive stress to a magnet. A magnet 26 and an end-plate 28 are press-fitted into a ring-shaped member 24 to form a rotor sub-assembly 22. A shaft 12 is passed through the rotor sub-assembly 22. A nut 42 is fastened onto the shaft 12, and fixes the axial position of the rotor sub-assembly 22 with respect to the shaft 12. The shaft 12 includes a step at which the shape of the shaft 12 changes between a small-diameter portion 18 and a large-diameter portion 16. An end face of the large-diameter portion 16 that is exposed to outside of the small-diameter portion 18 is adopted as a reference face 20. The end-plate 28 is mounted to the ring-shaped member 24 so as to oppose an axial end portion of the magnet 26. The end-plate 28 includes a positioning portion 32 that allows insertion of the small-diameter portion 18, contacts the reference face 20 at an opposing face 34, and receives a fastening force produced by a nut 42 at a pressure receiving face 36.
