    • The present invention relates to a two-phase synchronous electric motor (1), comprising a permanent-magnet rotor (2), rotating around a respective rotation axis (X), and a core lamination-pack (10) stator (4), wherein first (6) and second (7) pairs of pole pieces (8) define a housing/rotation seat (5) for said rotor (2) and wherein each pole piece (8) comprises a core (9), having an end associated to the core lamination pack (10) and a free end portion (11), facing the rotor (2) housing/rotation seat (5), a coil (12) on a respective support (13) wedged on said core (9). Advantageously, at least the free end portion (11) of the core (9) of each pole piece (8) comprises a core lamination pack (15) extending in respective parallel planes to the rotation axis (X) of the permanent-magnet rotor (2). Advantageously, the core laminations (15) have a variable length to form a surface of said free end portion (11) of the core (9) of each pole piece (8) being concave in the axial direction and partially wrapping the rotor (2).
      The particular structure of the stator (4) can be advantageously matched to the double-joint kinematic coupling between the rotor (2) and the load (31) and to the phase displacement capacitor (C) expedient between the windings associated to one of the pole piece pairs.

The invention further relates to a rotor assembling apparatus comprising a bush (16) to which a rotor core assembly (15) is inserted for die-casting, wherein a clearance between said bush and said rotor core assembly is narrower to the extent that said rotor core assembly can be taken out after die casting; and a core band (19) having a clearance between the core band and the bush in the circumferential direction of said bush, said core band is engaged into said bush so that movement in the axis direction is restricted. The present invention can prevent a generation of the electromagnetic noise even during a high-load and high torque operation.

    • An asynchronous salient pole induction motor having a stator core (12) with equally-spaced teeth (16) with inner ends (20) having equal angular extent and defining a bore whereat a squirrel cage rotor is provided. A main field winding (34) includes serially connected coils embracing alternate stator teeth and connected across a single phase source of alternating current. An auxiliary field winding (38) includes serially connected coils embracing consecutive teeth intermediate the teeth having the main winding coils thereon. The auxiliary winding coils are phase displaced from the main winding coils. Each of the teeth faces at their inner ends are shaped for increasing the air gaps on both sides of the center line longitudinal plane of each tooth thereby increasing the magnetic reluctance between each of the teeth and the rotor on both sides of the center line plane. The laminations are first punched with circular shaped teeth inner ends and thereafter are punched to remove a cut-away portion from the teeth inner ends substantially near the tips (52) of the teeth furthest away from the center line plane.

    • A series resonant capacitor motor is operated from a source of single phase alternating current power (9), and the start and run windings (13 and 14) are wound on the stator electrically angularly displaced from one another by 90°. The run winding (13) is of heavy wire, and it is connected in series with a capacitor (17) having a high capacitance to the source of alternating current power (9). The start winding (14) is connected in parallel with the series connected run winding and capacitor. During the full load and no load running conditions of operation of the motor, substantially all of the current passes through the run winding (13) and capacitor (17) with little or no current flowing through the start winding (14). The motor exhibits improved starting torque, and an additional switched starting capacitor (27) can be connected in parallel with the series resonant capacitor to produce high starting torque.
