摘要： Apparatus and method for aligning wire conductors (11a, 11b) extending from coil members (11) inserted in slots of a core (10) of an electric dynamo machine to join the ends (11'a,11'b) of the wire conductors by means of a welding operation accomplished by welding means (30), comprising : a first member (41) having a plurality of passages (40); a second member (42) having a plurality of passages (40'); the first and second members (41,42) being assembled adjacent to each other to align in pairs the passages (40) of the first member (41) with the passages (40') of the second member (42); each pair of aligned passages (40,40') · forming a single passage capable of receiving at least the end portions (11a, 11b) of two conductors; the first member (41) and the second member (42) being relatively moved in the circumferential direction (C) of the core to cause the sides of the passages (40,40') to engage and move the end portions (11a, 11b) of the wire conductors in the circumferential direction (C); a thrust in the radial direction (R) of the core being exerted on inclined portions (I) of the wire conductors to cause the end portions (11a, 11b) of the wire conductors present in a single passage to engage each other in the radial direction (R) and the portion of wire conductor most distant in the radial direction in the single passage to engage the sides of the single passage in the radial direction (R).

摘要： When electric wires (joint conductors) are disposed adjacent each other in a peeled state of coatings, a gap corresponding to the total thickness of both conductors' insulating films as skin layers is formed between end joined face portions 1H, 2H of the conductors. The gap becomes larger because the conductors are tapered. Therefore, the adhesion between both conductors is impaired, with a consequent fear of occurrence of joining imperfection. In opposed joined face portions 1H, 2H of electric wires (joint conductors), the conductors are deformed from the tips of their axes to the joined face side in such a manner that exposed portions 1A, 2A at the tips of the conductors and insulating film faces located in the vicinity thereof are flush with each other or the exposed portions 1A, 2B are projected. The gap formed between the electric wires (joint conductors) can be diminished, whereby the reliability of connection is improved and it becomes easier to perform the work of joint conductors, with the result that the productivity of a stator 160 of a rotary electric machine such as an AC generator for a vehicle could be improved.

摘要： An object of the present invention is to improve electrical insulation between a small conductor segment and large conductor segment which forms stator coils inserted into slots of stator core of a driving motor for a automobile vehicle. The axial length of the curved head 3a' is made shorter than that of the curved head 3a. Further, the distance "d" between the border point "c" (the border point between the curved head 3a and legs 3b) and border point "c' " (the border point between the curved head 3a' and legs 3b') is made greater than the difference between the contraction quantity due to bending of the large segment 331 and that of the small segment 332. Thus, the contracted head 3a' (relatively displaced toward the legs) can stay inside the head 3a, thereby improving the electrical insulation between the small conductor segment and large conductor segment.

摘要： An object of the invention is to reduce a stress on an insulating coating on a conductor segment for a stator coil. The conductor segments are bent simultaneously by a head bending apparatus and leg bending apparatus, both provided with a respective disc guide member for guiding the inner most conductor segments along the circumferential direction. Particularly, the disc guide member 16b (for example, may have a permanent magneto built-in) is fixed at the lower surface of the stator core 1. The disc guide member 16b almost touches the inner circumferential surface of the larger segment 331. During bending the tip of the leg portions 33c on the bending jig 543, the disc guide member 16b prevents the leg portions 33c of the larger segments 331 from inclining toward the inner radius direction, thereby bending and extending the linear portions 33c along the circumferential direction.

摘要： Provided is a method of manufacturing a sequential segment joining type stator coil for use in an electric rotating machine, capable of achieving satisfactory electrical and thermal contact between end tip portion pairs of segments and basal electrodes and of realizing suitable welding even in the alignment of a large number of end tip portion pairs. For the arc welding of the end tip portion pairs of a sequential segment joining type stator coil, a large number of end tip portion pairs adjoining each other in a radial direction are held and pressed between basal electrode blocks. At this time, a circular-arc-like auxiliary electrode is put in a radial spacing between the end tip portion pairs. This not only enables the feeding to the end tip portion pairs lying at an intermediate position in the radial direction but also stabilizes the positions of the end tip portion pairs, and even reduces the heat radiation to an insulating coat of end skewing portions extending from the proximal portions of each end tip portion pair.

The coil has an end portion which is made up of heads of conductor segments and projects from an end of a core. The heads of conductor segments have turns or bulges. The bulges are lapped over one another in various forms or shifted in location in an axis direction of the core, thereby permitting the core to be decreased in diameter, which provides for decreases in size and weight of the rotary electrical machine.
