The central portion (4) of the strip, having the function of a fusible element, is advantageously housed in an opaque plastic containment housing (9, 10) provided with two juxtaposed windows (23, 24), on opposite sides of the fusible element, so that the condition of the fuse can be checked visually, the windows being closed by transparent plastic shields (29, 30).
