摘要： Method of stabilizing radium present in radium-containing effluent, in which the effluent and a metal chloride are mixed, then the previously obtained mixture is reacted with a sulfate ion to obtain effluent containing stabilized radium. The chloride can be a barium, strontium or lead chloride. The sulfate ion can be supplied by the addition of sulfuric acid, sulfuric anhydride, soluble sulfate or soluble sulfate salt. The method applies in particular to the treatment of solid radium-containing effluents or effluents containing substances in suspension coming from chemistry or metallurgy of zirconium or treatment of uranium-containing minerals.

摘要： The invention relates to a method for regenerating liquids contaminated with radioactive substances, such as decontamination agents, which produces negligible quantities of secondary waste. According to said method, the starting acid, which can contain any concentration and almost any composition of dissolved radioactive substances, is oxidised in a first step, preferably using hydrogen superoxide. After oxidation, the mixture is neutralised using ammonium hydroxide. During the neutralisation stage, the radioactive metals and different radioactive substances are precipitated out in the form of insoluble fractions of various metal hydroxides. The precipitated solids are filtered in a subsequent step and the radioactive waste is eliminated and for example set in a cement matrix. The ferrocement that is thus obtained is also watertight. Dissolved salts are contained in the residual liquid phase. Said salts are isolated by electrodialysis to obtain the starting acid and the ammonium hydroxide that was used in the neutralisation stage. The starting substances that are now free of radioactivity can thus be re-used.

摘要： The invention concerns a process for the treatment of a solution used for decontamination of a radioactively contamined surface, the solution containing radioactive metal ions and an organic complexing agent. The process comprises treating the solution with a reagent suitable for the destruction of the complexing agent and containing a metal capable of existing in more than one oxidation state. The pH of the resultant solution is then raised to a level at which the metal of the reagent precipitates or flocs out of the solution. The reagent may be, for instance, Fenton's reagent and the solution may be additionally treated with electromagnetic radiation.

摘要： The present invention relates to a method for granulation of an absorbent and adsorbent granules prepared by the same. The method comprises the steps of blending sodium metasilicate, metakaoline and an inorganic ion exchange material in water to form a slurry; decanting the resulted slurry onto a nylon cloth of 300 to 400 meshes and natural drying at ambient temperature to solidification; then breaking the solidified final product and sieving it by a screen having a mesh size of from 0.2 to 2.5 mm to provide the absorbent granules having excellent absorbability.

摘要： Radioactive strontium is efficiently removed from wastewater containing radioactive strontium. In a treatment method for radioactive strontium-containing wastewater, wastewater containing radioactive strontium and a powdery alkali metal titanate are mixed in a stirrer-equipped reaction tank by stirring such that radioactive strontium in the wastewater is adsorbed on the powdery alkali metal titanate, followed by subjecting the powdery alkali metal titanate having radioactive strontium adsorbed thereon to solid-liquid separation. The radiation dose of treated water can be effectively reduced in such a manner that a powder of an alkali metal titanate is directly added to radioactive strontium-containing wastewater and is dispersed therein and therefore radioactive strontium is efficiently removed by adsorption.
