摘要： System, apparatus, method, and computer readable media for on-the-fly captured image data enhancement. An image or video stream is enhanced with a filter in concurrence with generation of the stream by a camera module. In one exemplary embodiment, HD image frames are filtered at a rate of 30 fps, or more, to enhance human skin tones with an edge-preserving smoothing filter. In embodiments, the smoothing filter is applied to an image representation of reduced resolution, reducing computational overhead of the filter. The filtered image is then upsampled and blended with a map that identifies edges to maintain an edge quality comparable to a smoothing filter applied at full resolution. A device platform including a camera module and comporting with the exemplary architecture may provide enhanced video camera functionality even at low image processing bandwidth.

摘要： Techniques and architectures for video stabilization can transform a shaky video to a steady-looking video. A path smoothing process can generate an optimized camera path for video stabilization. With a large smoothing kernel, a path smoothing process can remove both high frequency jitters and low frequency bounces, and at the same time can preserve discontinuous camera motions (such as quick panning or scene transition) to avoid excessive cropping or geometry distortion. A sliding window based implementation includes a path smoothing process that can be used for real-time video stabilization.

摘要： An apparatus for generating an output depth map for an image comprises a first depth processor (103) which generates a first depth map for the image from an input depth map. A second depth processor (105) generates a second depth map for the image by applying an image property dependent filtering to the input depth map. The image property dependent filtering may specifically be a cross-bilateral filtering of the input depth map. An edge processor (107) determines an edge map for the image and a combiner (109) generates the output depth map for the image by combining the first depth map and the second depth map in response to the edge map. Specifically, the second depth map may be weighted higher around edges than away from edges. The invention may in many embodiments provide a temporally and spatially more stable depth map while reducing degradations and artifacts introduced by the processing.
