    • A reading apparatus includes a control unit and an interface through which the control unit transmits an output request to an electronic tag and receives tag information output from the electronic tag in response to the output request. The control unit is configured to read the tag information received by the reception unit and extract an identifying code from the tag information, store the identifying code in association with a number corresponding to a total number of times tag information including the identifying code has been read by the controller in response to the output request, and output a stored identifying code or information associated with the stored identifying code if the number associated with the stored identifying code meets or exceeds a threshold value.

    • The present invention discloses a method and an apparatus for localization and mapping based on RFID, applicable for real-time mapping of an area to be localized in which at least one RFID tag is arranged, the method comprises: taking a location of a first RFID tag as a coordinate origin of a coordinate system when information of the first RFID tag is obtained by a mobile electronic device which is moving along a certain trajectory for a first time, and recording the information of the first RFID tag and coordinate values thereof; moving the mobile electronic device with the coordinate origin as a starting point to traverse all over the area to be localized, calculating and recording coordinate values of a location of an obstacle based on a moving direction and a moving distance of the mobile electronic device relative to the starting point when the mobile electronic device detects the obstacle each time during the traversal; and constructing a map according to recorded information of the RFID tag and coordinate values thereof and the coordinate values of the location of each said obstacle when the traversal has been finished. The present invention discloses an apparatus for localization and mapping based on RFID as well.

    • A method for obtaining an X-ray image of a subject on a flexible information carrier plate (62,60;65,70) for computed radiography. A memory (600,620) is affixed to a surface of the plate, wherein the affixed memory stores information about the plate and is in wireless communication (74) with a computer (PAS). A first scan date is stored in the affixed memory. Obtaining the X-ray image uses steps of storing at least a job identifier and a scan status for the plate in the affixed memory; acquiring (68) image data from a scan of the plate following exposure to X-rays, acquiring (72) at least the job identifier from the affixed memory, and associating the acquired image data with the acquired job identifier; incrementing a scan count value and updating the scan status in the affixed memory; erasing image content from the plate; and storing the acquired image data in a second, computer-accessible memory (PAS) according to the acquired job identifier.
