摘要： A linker or loader, and associated method, is described, whereby the application of security transformations to object-code modules can be deferred until link or load-time, through, for example, memory relocation, selection from diverse instances of a module, and late-binding of constants. This provides several benefits over conventional source-to-source security transformations. These deferred security transformations can be applied in a very light-weight manner and create many opportunities for diversity in the resulting executable program, enhancing security, while at the same time minimizing the impact on execution performance and correctness, and reducing the complexity of debugging.

摘要： The present disclosure discloses a method and apparatus for loading an application. A specific embodiment of the method comprises: selecting, in a programmable read-only memory, a storage space for storing a preset data section in an executable file of an application (201); copying the preset data section to a memory, and relocating the preset data section based on a start address of the storage space (202); and copying the relocated preset data section to the storage space (203). A relocation of a code portion of the executable file in the memory is implemented, and the relocated code portion is then written back into the programmable read-only memory, so that the relocation of the code portion can be completed only by one erase operation for a memory block, thereby reducing system overheads during the application loading process, and reducing wear of the programmable read-only memory.

An apparatus may comprise a processor circuit, a memory unit coupled to the processor circuit to store private memory pages for multiple virtual machines, and a dynamic linker application operative on the processor circuit to link a binary version of a software program with associated program modules at run-time of the binary version on a virtual machine. 摘要： A technique for creating dynamically attachable and detachable binary files is provided. The invention provides an efficient mechanism to manage the existing code bases with respect to the additional code needed for a particular feature as a single code base. It also provides a mechanism for designers to plan for such features even before the code is conceptualized. The system parses the code having a dynamic feature manager (DFM) tag to produce a base code wherein the DFM tag encloses a feature. The multiple code sets based on the DFM tags are created. A feature change table storing the information about a changed feature compared to the feature from the code sets is generated and stored in the system. The code sets are then compiled to generate binaries. The difference between each of the binaries, using the feature change tables is determined and stored which is used for creating differential binary file(s).

摘要： A packet switching device can process packets by linking pre-compiled code fragments corresponding to actions to be performed for a packet flow, in order to generate a flow function. Once generated, the packet switching device can invoke this flow function for one or more packets in the packet flow. For example, a linker could use a flow table to determine the actions to be performed for a packet flow. Those actions may correspond to code fragments which have already been compiled and make use of symbols as placeholders for parameters yet to be defined. To generate a flow function, the pre-compiled code fragments corresponding to the actions of a flow can be sequenced and linked together. The parameter values of the actions can then replace the placeholder symbols. Once fully assembled, the flow function can be written to memory and executed any time a packet for the corresponding flow needs to be routed.

摘要： A method and system of compiling and linking source stream programs for efficient use of multi-node devices. The system includes a compiler, a linker, a loader and a runtime component. The process converts a source code stream program to a compiled object code that is used with a programmable node based computing device having a plurality of processing nodes coupled to each other. The programming modules include stream statements for input values and output values in the form of sources and destinations for at least one of the plurality of processing nodes and stream statements that determine the streaming flow of values for the at least one of the plurality of processing nodes. The compiler converts the source code stream based program to object modules, object module instances and executables. The linker matches the object module instances to at least one of the multiple cores. The loader loads the tasks required by the object modules in the nodes and configure the nodes matched with the object module instances. The runtime component runs the converted program.
