摘要： System and method for language skill assessment and improvement is provided. The system generates customized exercise for a user, based on a language model relevant to a language being learnt by the user. The system further collects user response to the customized exercise, and in terms of the user response, determines a current skill level of the user. Further, based on the determined skill level of the user, a skill gap is identified. The system then determines recommendations to improve language skills of the user, and to reduce/eliminate the skill gap.

The system can further use domain-specific dictionaries derived from domain-specific texts to identify domain-specific compound noun phrases and verb phrases that require specific linguistic tagging to be usable in other linguistic analysis steps.

摘要： A method of automatically generating a digital soundtrack for playback in an environment comprising live speech audio generated by one or more persons speaking in the environment, the method executed by a processing device or devices having associated memory. The method comprises syntactically and/or semantically analysing an incoming text data stream or streams representing or corresponding to the live speech audio in portions to generate an emotional profile for each text portion of the text data stream(s) in the context of a continuous emotion model. The method further comprises generating in real-time a customised soundtrack for the live speech audio comprising music tracks that are played back in the environment in real-time with the live speech audio. Each music track is selected for playback in the soundtrack based at least partly on the determined emotional profile or profiles associated with the most recently processed portion or portions of text from the text data stream(s).

摘要： Natural Language Requirement (NLR) descriptions are parsed to generate syntactic verb structures. These structures are matched with a set of pre-defined semantic patterns to form semantic networks of semantic pattern instances. The networks are searched; any missing concepts identified and any incorrect or ambiguous concepts modified or clarified by user interaction. This interaction creates new semantic pattern instances that are used to generate an analysis model represented by a Unified Modelling Language (UML) or Entity-Relationship (ER) diagram, which can then be subsequently used to generate a computer software system.
