摘要： The present invention relates to a process for producing a toner for development of electrostatic images, including the following steps (1) to (3): Step (1): aggregating resin particles (X) containing a composite resin that contains a segment constituted of a polyester resin (a) obtained by polycondensing an alcohol component containing 80 mol % or more of a propyleneoxide adduct of bisphenol A and a polycarboxylic acid component, and a vinyl-based resin segment containing a constitutional unit derived from a styrene-based compound, in an aqueous medium, to obtain aggregated particles (1); Step (2): aggregating the aggregated particles (1) obtained in the step (1) with resin particles (Y) containing a polyester resin (b) obtained by polycondensing an alcohol component containing 80 mol % or more of an ethyleneoxide adduct of bisphenol A and a polycarboxylic acid component to obtain aggregated particles (2); and Step (3): coalescing the aggregated particles (2) obtained in the step (2).

摘要： A toner according to an embodiment includes a colorant, a binder resin, and an ester wax. The colorant, the binder resin and the ester wax form a toner particle. The total number of carbon atoms of R 1 and R 2 is in a range from 31 to 53. The two or more ester compounds have different number of carbon atoms from each other.

摘要： In an example of a method for making polymer-encapsulated metallic ink pigment particles, a layer of a transparent resin dispersion is disposed on a flexible substrate. The resin dispersion layer is substantially dried, and a base resin layer is formed. A slurry is disposed onto the base resin layer. The slurry includes metallic pigment particles and polymer particles dispersed in a non-aqueous carrier. The slurry is dried to form a metallic pigment-polymer sheet. Another layer of the transparent resin dispersion is disposed on the metallic pigment-polymer sheet and is dried. A coating resin layer is formed. The metallic pigment-polymer sheet and the base and coating transparent resin layers form a tri-layer film having the metallic pigment particles encapsulated between the base and coating transparent resin layers.
