摘要： A load transport mechanism for moving a heat treating load in a multi-station heat treating system is disclosed. The transport mechanism has a compact construction that allows it to fit in a centrally located stationary transport chamber. The transport chamber is adapted to provide ready access to multiple treating chambers arrayed around the chamber. The transport mechanism includes a load translation mechanism for moving the load linearly and a load rotation mechanism for rotating the load within the transport chamber. A multi-station heat treating system having a centrally located quenching chamber that includes the load transport mechanism is also disclosed.

摘要： The present invention concerns a wall structure and a method for constructing such an anchored wall structure. The wall structure is designed for use in a furnace or the similar, where the structure is exposed to cyclical thermal load. The structure consists of a row of individual elements which are placed in the longitudinal direction of the structure and are arranged in one or more courses, one resting on the other. The individual elements may consist of bricks of refractory material and the wall structure may also be provided with internal flue gas ducts. The wall structure is also designed to be able to compensate for longitudinal changes and any vertical changes as a consequence of cyclical thermal load. The wall structure's longitudinal changes are compensated for in a connection (2) arranged at least one end of the wall structure. The structure's individual elements are fixed to each other in the horizontal direction by means of mutually interacting contact elements. This produces a structure which remains stable after repeated thermal cycles, and costs related to restoration and stoppages can be reduced.

摘要： Disclosed is an ash-melting furnace which can respond to fluctuations in the load and is capable of highly efficient and stable operation. In an ash-melting furnace which heats and melts primary ash (ash containing rough particles) and fly ash (ash containing minute particles) obtained by combustion together, the primary ash is supplied from an upper end of the furnace to form an upper layer of a two-tiered layer of ash, and the fly ash is supplied from the upper end of the furnace to form a lower layer of a two-tiered layer of ash. The two-tiered layer together is moved towards the far end of the furnace, and is heated and melted by a burner (10) to form molten slugs (25a) during the moving step. When the burner is an oxygen-enriched burner, this configuration makes it possible to control the volume of oxygen to be added to the burner air (including changing the density of the oxygen). This invention can control not only the volume of fuel but also the density of the oxygen-enriched air and the volume of the ash to be supplied in response to the state of flow of the molten ash melted by the oxygen-enriched burner.

摘要： In a material feeding mechanism in association with a continuous sintering apparatus, a material (S) carried by a transporting conveyer (1) into an atmosphere-displacement chamber (2) is fed into a furnace casing (4) of the continuous sintering apparatus by using a loading pusher (3). The transporting conveyor (1), the atmosphere-displacement chamber, and the loading pusher (3) are arranged in such a manner that a direction in which the material is carried by the transporting conveyor and a direction in which the material is fed from the atmosphere-displacement chamber into the furnace casing by the loading pusher are linearly aligned, and the loading pusher and a drive unit (3a) thereof are installed under a floor of the atmosphere-displacement chamber (2) so that the loading pusher moves up over the floor surface of the atmosphere-displacement chamber and moves forward and backward on the floor surface of the atmosphere-displacement chamber when the material is fed into the furnace casing (4). By such a construction, the longitudinal dimension of the continuous sintering apparatus can be made as short as possible to realize a compact design as a whole.
