Substantially all the space between lens (1) and reflective surface (9) may be occupied by said transparent material (6) which has to have a refractive index of at least 1.35 and being capable of withstanding temperatures of at least 75°C. The distance between the receiver (4) and the lens (1) has to be such that the product of said refractive index and the sine of the angle between the plane of optical symmetry of the lens (1) and a tangent to the receiver (4) intersecting the plane at the lens (1) is substantially equal to the sine of the angle of acceptance of the system constituted by the lens (1) and the reflector (9).

    • The present invention relates to a solar collector having an integrated heat storage (ICS), in which between an involute mirror and a transparent cover plate a storage tank for the storage of water is provided and in which the storage tank is provided with a light absorbing fin. Thus, the fin system has a double function.
