The method for manufacturing a disc brake pad includes the steps of preliminarily forming a preliminarily formed product (30) by pressurizing without heating the powdered raw materials in a metal preliminarily forming die (10), and forming the final inclined surface (3b) on the friction material using a metal forming die (20) with an inclined surface (27b), the step of preliminarily forming including forming a temporary inclined surface (30b), having a larger angle than the final inclined surface of the friction material, on the preliminarily formed product at an opposite side thereof to be fixed to a back plate (2), and forming a recess portion (30c) on the preliminarily formed product at a side thereof to be fixed to the back plate.

    • The invention relates to a backing (1) for brake devices, comprising a backing surface (2) for accommodating at least one friction lining (3), and at least one opening (4, 4') arranged inside the backing surface (2), said opening being produced by shaping a material section (5, 5') of the backing (1). Said material section (5, 5') is shaped relative to the backing (1) in such a manner that, when the friction lining (3) is pressed onto the backing surface (2), the material section (5, 5') and the opening (4, 4') form a press mold (6). The invention is characterized in that the material section (5, 5') projects from the backing (1) at a defined angle a in the direction of pressing (7). The invention also relates to a backing plate (1) for brake devices, comprising a backing surface (2) for accommodating at least one friction lining (3), and at least one lateral guide (20) for guiding the backing plate (1) in the housing of the brake device, such as e.g. the brake drum, the lateral guide (20) being formed by bending the rim (8) of the backing plate (1). According to the invention, the bent rim (8) is provided in a plurality of rim sections (11, 12, 13) of the respective longitudinal side (10) of the backing plate (1), said rim sections being located to the side of the backing surface (2) of the friction lining (3). The invention also relates to a backing/friction lining unit (30) and to a backing support (40) of a pressing device (41).
