A sliding bearing (4) includes an inner member (5) having a mounting surface (9) with respect to a rotary shaft (2), and an outer member (6) being arranged on a radially outer side of the inner member (5) . A radial bearing gap is formed between an outer peripheral surface (5a1) of the inner member (5) and an inner peripheral surface (7a1) of the outer member (6), and a lubricating oil is interposed in the radial bearing gap. Further, between the inner member (5) and the outer member (6), sealing gaps (S, S) for maintaining an oil level of the lubricating oil on both axial sides of the radial bearing gap are formed. At least a part of the mounting surface (9) of the inner member (5) is made of a metal.

The guide surface 27 and the chamfered section have surface properties in which the arithmetic average roughness Ra is 1.0-9.8 µm and the maximum height Rt is 10.1-102.9 µm. A parting line PL is provided radially inside the guide surface.

The metal ring-shaped member (21) comprises a cylindrical engaging part (23) for engaging the outer-diameter surface (3c) of the outer race (3) by being pressed therein, and a disc part (29) integrally formed in an upright manner in the perpendicular direction from the engaging part (23). Furthermore, the disc part (29) is provided with a plurality of holes (31) formed in the axial direction of the bearing (1) and arranged in the circumferential direction. As a result, it is possible to improve creep resistance even under harsh conditions of high rotation speed and high belt load.
