    • A micropump including two glass wafers (2, 8) with a machined silicon wafer (6) sealingly inserted therebetween. An inlet valve (12), a pump chamber (14) and an outlet valve (16) are arranged between an inlet channel (4) and an outlet channel (5). A pump diaphragm (36) forming one wall of the pump chamber comprises a thicker central portion (38) operating like a piston. A piezoelectric element (52) acts on the diaphragm via an intermediate part (64) to provide the pumping movement. The pump chamber (14) and the spaces (22, 24) linking same to the inlet and outlet valves are shaped so that the reduction in the inner volume of the micropump caused by a reduction in the volume of the pump chamber during the pumping movement is such that the air in the micropump is compressed to a pressure high enough to open the outlet valve, whereby said micropump is self-priming.

    • The invention relates to a check valve (10) to be disposed between a first pressure chamber (14), in which a first pressure (P1) of a fluid (30) prevails, and a second pressure chamber (16), in which a second pressure (P2) prevails, having a valve housing (12), on which a valve seat (18) is implemented, and having a blocking element (22), which is designed in a blocking position for the purpose of closing a valve opening (19) in the area of the valve seat (18), in order to block the connection between the first and the second valve chambers (14, 16) if the second pressure (P2) is greater than the first pressure (Pi), and is designed in an open position for the purpose of releasing the valve opening (19), in order to release the connection between the first and the second valve chambers (14, 16) if the first pressure (P1) is greater than the second pressure (P2), wherein said fluid (30) can flow in the open position along a flow direction (S) from said first pressure chamber (14) into said second pressure chamber (16). Furthermore, the valve seat (18) is implemented as an inclined face, which is oriented at an angle (α) greater than 15° and less than 80° in relation to the flow direction (S), wherein said blocking element (22) has a planar blocking lobe (24) made of a material which can be elastically deformed, which presses against the inclined face in the blocking position and lifts off of the inclined face in the open position because of the difference between the first pressure (P1) and the second pressure (P2), in order to release the connection.
