    • The invention relates to an assembly press and a method for producing insulating glass elements with at least two parallel panes (1, 2) which are connected together via at least one spacer (3) arranged between adjacent panes (1, 2). The assembly press has two press elements (4, 5) which are arranged opposite each other and which define a working chamber (6) between each other, wherein the spacing between each other can be adjusted in a first direction (Z) in order to press together the panes (1, 2) located in the working chamber (6) to form an insulating glass element, and a conveyor device (7) for transporting the panes (1, 2) into the working chamber (6) in a working position and for transporting the panes out of the working chamber in a second direction (X) perpendicular to the first direction (Z). At least one of the press elements (4, 5) can be adjusted in a third direction (Y) which is perpendicular to the first direction (Z) and the second direction (X). The conveyor device (7) has at least two drivable conveyor elements (7a, 7b), each of which has a support means (8a, 8b) for supporting the lower face of at least one of the at least two panes (1, 2) while said pane is being transported on a respective transport plane and which can be adjusted independently of each other such that the transport planes defined by the support means (8a, 8b) are located at different positions in the third direction (Y) that is perpendicular to the first direction (Z) and the second direction (X).

      Ce procédé est caractérisé en ce que, lors de l'étape de transport du vitrage (2) à poser de son poste (4) de stockage vers son poste (5) de pose dans le cadre d'ouvrant, on anime le bras (3) du robot (1) portant ledit vitrage (2) et au moins une tête de buse (9) d'encollage positionnée sur la trajectoire suivie par le bras (3) du robot (1), d'un déplacement relatif pour assurer, à l'état chargé du bras (3) de l'automate, le dépôt de colle sur les bords dudit vitrage (2) préalablement à sa pose dans l'ouvrant.

    • A method of making elongated spacer frame members prevents a first spacer frame member in a series of spacer frame members from being scrapped. A supply of thin relatively narrow sheet metal stock is provided. The stock is fed endwise to a stamping station. The stock is passed through the stamping station that stamps the stock to define a scrap length of stock followed by a connected first spacer frame defining length of stock. The scrap length of stock and the connected first spacer frame defining length of stock are fed to a roll forming station. The scrap length of stock and the connected first spacer frame defining length of stock are formed into a rigid linearly extending scrap element having opposite side walls and a base wall and a connected rigid linearly extending first spacer frame element having opposite side walls and a base wall. A connection between the scrap element and the first spacer frame element is then severed.
