摘要： The invention relates to a roof forming element for a roof, comprising a roof plate, a beam integral with the roof plate, such that the integral combination of the roof plate and the beam has an L-shaped cross-section, a cover, and coupling means for coupling the roof forming element to a further, neighbouring element. The roof forming element, at least in a mounted condition of a plurality of such elements, is configured such that the second longitudinal side of the element is arranged to be supported by the first longitudinal side of a further, neighbouring one of said elements, so that the beam of the further roof forming element also supports the roof plate of the roof forming element, and so that the respective roof plate elements of said roof forming element and further roof forming element are flush with respect to each other.

The panels can comprise a background sheet of relatively thin material, in which are integrally formed one or more raised decorative elements such as simulated tile or shake elements. At the front or lower edge of each panel at least some of the decorative elements have a sunken or indented area (42) integrally formed in the face thereof, with the rear or upper portion of each decorative element having a cooperatively disposed integrally formed protruding element (40). Each panel of each successive course is retained in position at the front thereof by the interlocking of the protruding regions (40) on at least some of the decorative elements thereon with the sunken region (42) of the next lower course, and at the rear thereof by nails or staples passed through a nailing flange (44) provided for that purpose. These, plus other features of the panels, facilitate the manufacture thereof by injection molding or relatively low cost vacuum forming techniques by distributing material stretch during forming and avoiding excessive concentrated stretch in local areas.

摘要： A heat insulating panel for use in construction of building structures such as a built-up roof. The heat insulating panel comprises first and second oppositely disposed surfaces with a core therebetween comprised of phenolic foam material. The first surface of the panel includes a thin layer of reflecting material over substantially the entire surface thereof to reduce the heat conveyed to the core due to sun radiation when the layer of reflecting material on the panel is exposed to sun radiation during construction of the building structure. This reduction in the heat conveyed to the core reduces cαrl- ing or warping of the panel, before application of finishing materials, such as bituminous roofing material, over the panels. There is also disclosed a method of constructing a building structure with such heat insulating panels.
