摘要： A dredging apparatus (24) works on the seabed (14). It is especially intended for the removal of cuttings gathered around a bore hole mouth at seabed (14), the removal being carried out by means of an ejector (30, 40) having coupled thereto a suction hose (32) and a conveyor pipe (34), respectively, for moving the cuttings to another place on the seabed (14). The dredging apparatus (24) comprises a drive motor (22), a pumping device (38) and an ejector (30, 40), the drive motor (22) being adapted to drive the pumping device (38) which, in its turn, is adapted to deliver a forced flow of water to the ejector (30, 40) in order to establish and maintain the ejecting effect. In order to avoid the pumping-down of enormous amounts of water to large depths by means of a motor-driven pumping device in a surface position, which is particularly energy, weight and space demanding on board of the rig, the ejector (30, 40), pumping device (38) and drive motor (22) are assembled to form a unit. A cable (20) delivers energy to the motor (22) from the surface.

摘要： Mud is taken into a vertical screw conveyor (1) while an inlet device is rotating or without the use of such an inlet device. The mud is sent from the discharge port of the conveyor into a transport pipe (24). The mud is forcibly sent by a compressed air. Screens are provided to take only the mud into the screw conveyor. 摘要： A suction mouth (10) for mounting on the front of a subsea mining tool and to be pushed into sediment. The suction mouth comprises a hollow body (12) having an entrance opening (14) and an exit opening (16), wherein the body converges from the entrance opening towards the exit opening. The entrance opening has a lower lip (20) and an upper lip (22), and the upper lip comprises an extension (22a) projecting forwardly and upwardly relative to the lower lip to form a canopy over the entrance opening. The suction mouth (10) may include a valve (30) on the body downstream of the entrance opening which is operable to selectively provide a further entrance opening into the body. Where such a valve is present, the consistency of the material sucked in can be regulated.

When fuel gas is detected a valve (28) may be actuated to interrupt the flow of air up through the nozzle (11) and instead to admit air from a substantially fuel gas free source (27a) to flush any fuel gas out of the system reducing the risk of an explosion.
