    • A machine (10) for stranding a bundle of yarns, of the type that comprises a supporting frame (11) for a first rotor (12) and a second rotor (13), which are external and are moved by same motor drive means (14) and support an interposed first bow (15) for the torsion of the bundle of yarns (16), within the space generated by the rotation of the first bow (15) there being a second torsion bow (17) which is arranged to rotate in the opposite direction with respect to the first bow (15) and about the same axis of rotation and is supported between two opposite coaxial rotors, a third rotor (18) and a fourth rotor (19), which are moved by symmetric transmission means of the epicyclic type (20, 21), which are interposed respectively between the adjacent first (12) and third (18) rotors and between the adjacent second (13) and fourth (19) rotors. The transmission means of the epicyclic type (20, 21) are constituted, for each pair of rotors, by
      - a first gear (22), which is fixed with respect to the supporting frame (11) and coaxial to the axis of rotation of the bows (15, 17),
      - two second and third planet gears (23, 24), which are keyed on a same shaft (25), which in turn is coupled freely on a radial protrusion (26) of the respective first (12) or second (13) external rotor,
      - a fourth gear (27), which is jointly connected and coaxial to the corresponding third (18) or fourth (19) inner rotor,
      - a first toothed belt (28) for transmitting the relative motion between the first fixed gear (22) and a first one (23) of the planet gears, for the rotation of the planet gears about their own axis,
      - a second toothed transmission belt (29) between the second (24) of the two planet gears and the fourth gear (27) of the corresponding inner rotor.

    • The invention relates to a process and device for producing steel cord, in particular high tensile and ultra-high tensile strength cord. The aim of the invention is to provide for a high-quality production of in-out stranded wire with a core wire made of high tensile and ultra-high tensile wires, where large-scale spool fillings can be processed at an acoustic level of 50 Kg, and, through a glide and roll-off movement on a conical reversing sheave (7) at a single stranding point (9), the wires are stranded in a double twist to the structurally finished stranded wire (15); b) the structurally finished stranded wire (15) rotates about itself in passing through two synchronously rotating flyers (13a, 13b) at double the rotational speed of the flyers (13a, 13b); c) the individual wires (8; 8) are subjected to a predeformation before they pass into the stranding point (9); d) the structurally finished stranded wire (15) is subjected to a plastic deformation by overtwisting in the region between the stranding point (9) and the conical reversing sheave (7); e) the overtwist speed and the flyer speed are mutually adjusted at the same rotational speed ratio over the entire stranding process, including start-up as well as braking phase; f) to reduce its inner torsional tensions prior to being wound up, the stranded wire (15) is subjected to a defined increase in tensile force and to one or more overtwist and reforming processes and finally delivered at a constant take-up force to a controlled take-up stand (5).

    • A twisted wire manufacturing apparatus is provided with cradle (6) which is suspended at a pair of rotating shafts (3,4) having extreme ends opposed to each other through bearings (5). A main body (9) of the wire twisting machine is mounted on the cradle (6). A raw material guide (10) and a twisted wire guide (11) are mounted in respect to a pair of rotating shafts (3,4) having axial insertion holes (28,31). The raw material drawing capstan (13,13') and the twisted wire take-up capstan (14) are mounted on the cradle (6). The raw wire material (12) is guided through these devices. Another twisted wire manufacturing machine has a plurality of injection dies (61,63) communicating with an annular groove (75) formed in the rotary head (64). An annular shoe for gradually reducing a sectional area of the annular groove (75) is slidably fitted to the annular groove (75). The raw material is supplied into the annular groove (75) and the raw wires (70,72) are injected from the injection dies (61,63). One injection die (63) of a plurality of injection dies (61,63) is provided with means (78,79,80) for increasing an injection resistance of the raw wires. An injection speed of the core raw wire (70) injected from one injection die (63) is made slower than that of outer layer raw wires (72) injected from other injection dies (61).
