    • An object of the invention is to provide a resin composition which emits near infrared fluorescence with high quantum yield and which can be easily prepared, and a molded article thereof. The resin composition of the invention contains a near infrared fluorescent material; and a resin, in which the near infrared fluorescent material is one type or two or more types of compounds selected from the group consisting of compounds represented by General Formulas (I 1 ) to (I 4 ) and has a maximum fluorescence wavelength of 650 nm or longer.
