摘要： A reverse osmosis system to be connected to a feed water conduit and producing permeate water is disclosed. The reverse osmosis system includes a plurality of tubular bodies each having a first end and a second end, a first inner end plate attached to the first end of the tubular bodies, and a second inner end plate attached to the second end of the tubular bodies. The plurality of tubular bodies houses a filter, a pump, and two reverse osmosis membranes therein. The plurality of tubular bodies is configured to be connected in in fluid communication with each other via channels disposed within the end plates.

摘要： A portable liquid-filtration device includes an inlet port, a filtering portion including a filtering medium and fluidly coupled to the inlet port, a filtered-liquid output port fluidly coupled to the filtering portion, a flush port fluidly coupled to the filtering portion, and a manually activated pump assembly fluidly coupled to the inlet port, filtering portion, output port and flush port. The pump assembly is configured, when activated, to create a negative fluid pressure at the inlet port and a positive fluid pressure at the output port and the flush port. As a consequence of activation of the pump assembly, the filtering portion receives unfiltered liquid from the inlet port, the output port receives from the filtering portion only liquid traversing the filtering medium in a first direction, and the flush port receives from the filtering portion liquid traversing the filtering medium in a second direction different from the first direction.

摘要： Disclosed herein are embodiments of a solar-activated photochemical fluid treatment system, some of which comprise a fluid vessel, a porous enclosure positioned inside of the fluid vessel, a porous enclosure positioned inside of the fluid vessel, a fiber substrate contained within the enclosure, and a semiconductor photocatalyst coupled to the fiber substrate. The fluid vessel can be configured to contain a fluid in contact with the photocatalyst such that the fluid treatment system, responsive to solar radiation applied to the photocatalyst and to the fluid in the vessel, induces photochemical modification of contaminants and living organisms in the fluid. Related methods are also disclosed.

摘要： An apparatus for treating a liquid comprises a receptacle (10) for collecting the liquid to be treated and a cartridge (36) for treating the liquid, releasably attachable to the receptacle (10). The receptacle (10) includes a first locking device (12) and a drain opening (14) for dispensing the liquid to be treated, and has a first axis (L1). The cartridge (36) includes a second locking device (38) and an inlet opening (42) for leading the liquid to be treated into the cartridge (36). The cartridge (36) has a second axis (L2). The first locking device (12) is provided with a first shaped section (18) and the second locking device (38) is provided with a second shaped section (40), insertable into each other in an interlocking manner. At least one of the first locking device (12) and the second locking device (38) includes an insertion opening by which the second locking device (38) is guidable into the first locking device (12) in a first rotary position of the cartridge (36), by a movement of the cartridge (36) directed essentially perpendicularly to the first axis (L1) relative to the receptacle (10), causing the first and the second shaped sections (18,40) to engage each other. The cartridge (36) is placeable into a second rotary position, in which the drain opening (14) and inlet opening (42) register with each other, by rotation about the second axis (L2).
