    • The present invention concerns a raising device (1) realized to be connected to a tower segment (31) of a wind turbine (100). The raising device (1) comprises a connection member (3) to a raising machine and a plurality of holding members (19a, 19b, 19c, 19d) positioned at predefined distances (d) from each other and orientated to be movable in radial locking directions (L, L 1 , L 2 ) which locking directions (L, L 1 , L 2 ) are such that the holding members (19a, 19b, 19c, 19d) when moved into a locking position at a predefined engagement position of the tower segment (31) engage with a counter-shape of the tower segment (31), whereby the holding members (19a, 19b, 19c, 19d) are automatically tiltable and/or shiftable into the locking position by a movement mechanism. The invention also concerns a method (Z) of equipping a tower segment (31) of a wind turbine (100) for transport by means of such raising device (1).

    • An arrangement in a load lifting device for gripping, as to their material all kinds of lifting means, as lifting slings (16), ropes etc, in which arrangement the lifting device comprises a body (9,10) and holders, as pegs (5), fitted to the body, onto which lifting slings (16) can be lifted and fitted for the duration of hoisting and in the arrangement to lifting means (16) gripping means are fitted to lift the lifting means onto the actual holder, as for instance a hook or a peg (5). The gripping means have a pair of arms (7), the arms of which are from their upper ends by means of articulation fitted to body (9), whereby they can from their lower ends be drawn away from each other and drawn closer to each other and gripping of lifting means (16) is fitted to take place by bringing arms (7) against each other, lifting means (16) then remaining pressed between said lower ends.

    • Clamping device (10) suitable for lifting and handling of sheet like-objects (15), having a rigid frame with a fixed jaw (20) that provides a first clamping surface, a movable jaw (22) that provides a second clamping surface that is substantially parallel to the first clamping surface, the movable jaw being supported at the frame for reciprocating, linear movement towards and away from the fixed jaw, and an operating mechanism (90) arranged to bias the movable jaw towards the fixed jaw in response to an actuating force being exerted on a tensile force transmitting member (110) of the operating mechanism, thereby to abut the respective clamping surfaces onto opposite faces of an object received between the jaws and frictionally clamping same against displacement, characterised in that the movable jaw comprises a clamping plate (72) on which the second clamping surface is provided, the clamping plate being inclined at an angle of about 8 to 12 degrees with respect to the first and second clamping surfaces and being supported at the frame to maintain said angle during movement to and from the fixed jaw, and in that the tensile force transmitting member is guided and supported at an upper location of the clamping plate that substantially aligns with or overhangs the second clamping surface.

    • A lifting device (10) suited for use in the lifting and handling of heavy slabs or sheets of material is disclosed in this specification. It basically consists of a frame (12), comprising side plates (14) and (16), the upper ends of which are rigidly secured together by cross-members (18 and 20). The lower portion (16a) of side-plate (16) is angled downwardly and away from the other side-plate and carriage (30) is arranged for vertical sliding or rolling movement against this portion (16a) so that it moves inwards as it is raised. A movable plate or jaw (22) is mounted for horizontal sliding movement on the cross-members (20), being biased away from the fixed plate or jaw (14) by a spring (24). The carriage (30) is suspended from a tension-member (34) which is guided for vertical movement by the cross-members (18 and 20) and has its upper end secured to (or formed as) a lifting lug (36). When the device is placed over a slab (28) to be lifted (as shown in the figure), the raising of the carriage (30) by lifting the tensionmember (34) will cause the slab to be clamped sufficiently tightly to be lifted. Such lifting devices do not require that a standing slab (which is leaning with a stack of similar slabs against a support) to be pivoted very far before it can be engaged by the fixed jaw (14), making the handling of such slabs safer and less likely to result in material damage.
