    • A correction device comprises a banknote passage composed of a first passage plate (101) and a second passage plate (102). Correction wheels (004) having a correction direction inclined to the reference side of the banknote passage are disposed inside the banknote passage. A plurality of correction wheels (004) is separately arranged along a conveying direction of the banknote passage and gradually approaches the reference side. A side guide mechanism (009) is mounted on the reference side and is used for driving the banknotes, arriving at the reference side, to move towards the conveying direction of the banknote passage. A correction adjusting wheel (010) is arranged at the tail end of the inclining direction of the plurality of the correction wheels (004) at the position close to the reference side. The correction direction of the correction adjusting wheel inclines to the reference side. The structure prevents the banknotes from being jammed between reference walls in a passage during the correcting process. Also provided is an automated teller machine comprising the correction device.

    • A medium alignment apparatus (150) may include an alignment body (151) to form a transfer path for passage of a medium (P) and includes an alignment reference surface (155s) for alignment of the medium, an alignment roller portion (160) mounted to the alignment body to align the medium while driving the medium simultaneously, and at least one alignment sensor portion (180) to detect whether the medium is aligned by detecting a position of the medium passing along the transfer path. The alignment body may include a first body (152) forming a transfer path for the medium, to which the alignment roller portion is mounted, and a second body (155) disposed at one side of the first body to be movable relative to the first body at a speed corresponding to a transfer speed of the medium, providing a side directed to the first body as the alignment reference surface.

    • A document deskewing module (200) is provided for a self service bunch document depositing terminal (10). The document deskewing module (200) comprises a set of sensors (208) arranged to detect when a document transported along a document transport path (61) from a mixed bunch of documents including documents of a first type and documents of a second type which is different from the first type is deskewed. The module (200) includes: hard drive rollers (210) disposed along the document transport path (61), a first set of idler rollers (212) moveable towards and away from the hard drive rollers (210), soft drive rollers (310) disposed along the document transport path (61), a second set of idler rollers (312) moveable towards and away from the soft drive rollers (310), and a controller (95) arranged to control operation of the first and second sets of idler rollers (212,312) in response to a number of signals from the set of sensors (208) such that either only the first set of idlers (212) are interacting with the hard drive rollers (210) or only the second set of idlers (312) is interacting with the soft drive rollers (310) at any one time to deskew either a document of the first type or a document of the second type which is different from the first type.
