摘要： A collapsible container (10) for packing, shipping and displaying articles is formed from an integral piece of corrugated kraft, paperboard or similar foldable material. The container (10) includes a plurality of panels which are connected to form a bottom, front, back and exterior sidewalls (18), and preferably also a top. A bellows fold (38) connects each of the exterior sidewalls (18) with at least one of the front and back walls. Each exterior sidewall (18) is provided with a respective interior sidewall (36) which together support a horizontal ledge (20). The horizontal ledges (20) are useful for stacking multiple cartons in vertical alignment and can support containers that are somewhat out of registry. Locking tabs (48) extend from the bellows panels (40, 42) of the container (10) to limit lateral deflection of the sides and deformation of the container (10).

摘要： A corrugated board package formed from a blank of a kind having a single component to define a base, sides and top. The blank has a substantially square or rectangular base portion (1) limited by fold lines and/or cuts or cutouts and four separate peripheral portions. The peripheral portions include an opposed pair of the peripheral portions being foldable to create first opposed side walls (2) and subsequent to assembly being further folded to provide at least part of the top (8) of the package, those portions of the peripheral portion to form said opposed side walls (2) being extended at one end in a direction parallel to the fold line and/or cut or cutout connection to the base portion (1) to define a flap (4) which, either in a folded or unfolded condition, can be folded at right angles from the side wall (2) to assume a position as part of the structure of an end wall (2) normal to each opposed side wall (2) with a projection or projections (5) formed by part of said flap (4), whether a fold created periphery or otherwise, directed upwardly. The peripheral portions also include a second opposed pair of peripheral portions each being foldable to create part of the structure of a said end wall (2) normal to the first mentioned opposed side walls (2). The construction and arrangement of the package is such that in the assembled package the parallel flutes of the corrugated board run across the blank so as to be vertically extending in each side wall (2) and in at least that part of each said flap (4) having a said projection (5) and further being such that there are openings (7) formed in the base portion (1) to allow the same to nest reproducibly on the projections (5) of a like package, whether closed or not, to provide a nesting capability. The invention also consists in a blank for the package, the method of forming the package and apparatus for forming the package by the method using a sequence of forming zones.
