摘要： A food labeling device (20) for printing the current time and date or a future expiration date on adhesive labels carried on a backing strip (24). The labels are attached to non-refrigerated, refrigerated, and frozen foods to track freshness. The labeling device includes a housing (29) which magnetically mounts to the door of a refrigerator/freezer in which a roll (23) of the labels carried on the backing strip. A controller (41) within the housing tracks the time/date information. A pair of set switches are provided for allowing a user to set the time/date information. A liquid crystal display (221) mounted to the housing displays the time/date information for the user to view. Pushing an actuator switch (242) initiates label printing by a printing head (38) to imprint the time/date information on the labels passing thereby advanced in coordinated manner by a motor and gear arrangement connected to a platen closely adjacent the print head. The label strip passes outwardly from the housing through a label outlet slot. A battery contained within the housing powers the display, the stepping motor, and the printing head. The housing includes a pair of magnets (127) affixed to a rear portion of the housing for magnetically mounting the food labeling device to the refrigerator/freezer door.

摘要： A push portion (10f) is formed on an arm (10c) of a manual lever (10). Formed on a ratchet pawl (17) adapted to reciprocate interlockingly with the manual lever (10) are an elastic portion (17a) adapted to be pushed by the push portion (10f), and a pawl portion (17b) adapted to contact with teeth of a ratchet wheel (19). The moment the pawl portion (17b) goes beyond the teeth, a resistance force on the manual lever (10) sharply decreases, so that the printer (P) shockingly abuts against a label to perform printing. When a label tape (12) is set, a bottom cover (14) is opened. The bottom cover (14) can be surely opened by a biasing force, which is stored in elastic portions (15d, 15e) by pushing a finger applying portion (15a) of a latch member (15).
