    • Flexographic printer with enclosures at a regulated temperature and vapour extraction.
      The invention relates to a flexographic printer comprising: inner dividing means (1) which, together with a surrounding casing (6), define first, second and third enclosures (12a, 12b, 12c); and fluid circulation means which are used for the circulation of at least one fluid at a regulated temperature. The aforementioned enclosures (12a, 12b, 12c) are sufficiently closed off and insulated from one another and the fluid is circulated at a sufficient flow rate, such that the solvent vapour concentration in the atmosphere, originating from the ink, is below a lower pre-fixed explosion limit in at least the second and third enclosures (12b, 12c) which house means of actuating the rotation and movement (9, 10) of the cylinders (2, 4, 5) and electric and/or electronic devices and/or elements associated therewith.

    • A safety device for rotary printing press is provided in which, if a blanket cylinder and a plate cylinder move a little larger, a gap between surfaces of the cylinders and guard member can be maintained to be less than a predetermined value and the function of safety protection is kept properly. In a safety device provided at the feeding side of an in-running nip formed by a rotary body in which the center of the rotation of the rotary body can be displaceable in position, the safety device comprising: a guard member 40 movably positioned in the vicinity of an outer circumferential surface of the rotary body; a guard member displacement means 1, 2, 3 positioned between the rotary body and the guard member for making the guard member displace in accordance with the displacement of the center of the rotation of the rotary body; and wherein a gap between the outer circumferential surface of the rotary body and the guard member is set to be substantially constant in spite of the movement or shift of the center of the rotation of the rotary body.

    • A rotary body protecting apparatus includes first and second rotary bodies, a cover, a cover detection unit, an optical detector, and a control device. The second rotary body is arranged in the same axial direction as that of the first rotary body and rotates while opposing the first rotary body. The cover opens/closes an opposing position of the first second rotary bodies. The cover detection unit detects a closed state of the cover. The optical detector is close to the opposing position of the first and second rotary bodies and arranged in the vicinity of the ends of the first and second rotary bodies. The optical detector includes a light-projecting portion which projects light in the axial directions of the first and second rotary bodies, and a light-receiving portion which receives the light from the light-projecting portion. The control device stops rotation of the first and second rotary bodies when the optical detector detects that the light-receiving portion does not receive the light from the light-projecting portion.
      The control device performs one of control of disabling the optical detector and control of invalidating a detection output of the optical detector when the cover detection means detects the closed state of the cover.
