摘要： Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Herstellung eines Einbauelementes für Wärmetauscher-, Stoffaustauscher- und/oder Bioreaktor-Systeme, mit mindestens zwei miteinander verbundenen Wänden aus strukturierten, thermoplastischen Kunststoffflächen, wobei man ein aus einem Schmelzeformwerkzeug am Extruderkopf (20) eines Extruders austretendes Schmelzeband (10) nach Durchlaufen einer Vorkühlstrecke L kontinuierlich in eine Formbandpresse (30) einführt und wobei man das Schmelzeband (10) in der Formbandpresse (30) kontinuierlich zu einer strukturierten Kunststofffläche (10') ausformt und abkühlend fixiert.
Weiterhin betrifft die Erfindung eine Vorrichtung zur Durchführung des Verfahrens wobei ein am Extruderkopf (20) angeordnetes Schmelzeformwerkzeug, eine kontinuierlich betreibbare Formbandpresse (30), eine Einrichtung zur Abteilung, flächigen Ablagerung und/oder Aufwicklung und/oder Faltung der erzeugten Kunststoffflächen und eine taktweise betreibbare Verbindungseinrichtung vorgesehen sind.

摘要： A forming device for gathering the width of a traveling web is disclosed. The forming device includes opposing arrays of flute-forming bars that can be interlaced to define therebetween a longitudinal flute-forming labyrinth effective to reduce the width of a web traveling therethrough by a preselected take-up ratio. The flute-forming bars are curved beginning at an entry end of the forming device such that they converge in a lateral direction as they proceed in the machine direction. In this manner, individual elements of the web traveling between the respective arrays in the machine direction follow contour lines along the curved bars or between adjacent ones of the curved bars so that no such element crosses any flute-forming bar in the cross-machine direction as the web travels and is fluted. A corrugating die for introducing a near-net shape to the intermediate-fluted web is also disclosed, as are a corrugating line incorporating these operations and methods for its operation.

摘要： A forming assembly comprises two presser members (22,24) each having a corrugated surface for receiving a workpiece made up of generally diamond-shaped pockets (10). Each presser member is made up of sections (22 a ,22 b ; 24 a , 24 b ) mounted on slide rods (38) for movement between a spaced-apart position, in which a workpiece can be located therebetween, and a closed position, movement into which, while the workpiece is held between the presser members, is effective to compress the workpiece laterally. For holding the pockets in their diamond shape formers (20) are inserted therein. A flange (18) is formed at one end of the workpiece and integral therewith by pressing outwardly folded material against a lateral end face of the presser members (22,24) using a presser plate (52). This forming method is especially suitable for forming self-supporting filter units.

摘要： An accordion folded laminate of a fiber sheet reinforced with a thermoplastic film and bonded together with adhesive is utilized as a window shade or as a shower curtain or other end use product. In the preferred form, the thermoplastic sheet comprises polyester and the adhesive comprises a low melt polyester adhesive powder. The powder is applied uniformly to the reverse face of the fiber sheet and is heated to a temperature higher than its melt temperature, and the thermoplastic sheet is pressed over the adhesive against the polyester sheet. This laminate is subsequently formed into an accordion folded configuration, with the edges of the accordion folds being heated to a temperature higher than the melt temperature of the adhesive, causing the folds to retain a memory that enhances the appearance and function of the end use product.
