    • Thermo-welding tool for connecting thermoplastic resin moulded product parts together significantly reduces cooling time. A welding boss 5a formed on the moulded product part 5 is inserted into a fixing hole 6a formed on a fixed part 6 to be connected. A tip section of boss 5a projecting out from the hole 6a is heated and fused to form a head portion 5c overlying the part 6 to secure same. A portion of the end of the tool has a heating element 20 with a tip section 21 to apply heat and fuse the welding boss 5a. Slits 23 are provided in a side wall of the heating element to exhaust air after cooling the inside of the heating element 20. A pipe 10 supplies cooling air to the inside of the heating element 20 this being blown from the outlet 14 onto the back of the operative end portion 21 of the heating element 20 and also from side apertures 12 onto the internal surface of the heating element 20. The side apertures 12 are located in an offset position longitudinally and rotationally so that they do not directly face said slits 23.
