    • A multi-layer bottle which comprises outermost and innermost layers made mainly of a polyester (A) and at least one barrier layer lying between the outermost and innermost layers, wherein the polyester (A) is a thermoplastic polyester resin obtained by polymerizing a dicarboxylic acid component containing at least 80% by mole of terephthalic acid with a diol component containing at least 80% by mole of ethylene glycol and the barrier layer comprises a polyamide (B) and a polyamide (C). The polyamide (B) is one obtained by polycondensing a diamine component containing at least 70% by mole of m-xylylenediamine with a dicarboxylic acid component containing at least 70% by mole of an α,ω-straight-chain aliphatic dicarboxylic acid having 4 to 20 carbon atoms, while the polyamide (C) has a saturation moisture content higher than that of the polyamide (B) as determined at 23°C, 50%RH and 1atm and is contained in an amount of 20% by weight or below based on the weight of the barrier layer. Since the bottle little causes ply separation due to falling or impact, it is not necessary to restrict the shape of the bottle to one having fewer depressions, projections, or crooks for the purpose of inhibiting ply separation. Thus, the bottle has high design freedom.
