摘要： The object of the present invention is a method for treating of wood that is to be used for example in building and furniture construction. In the method dispersion of micro- and/or nanoparticles is applied on wooden surface to form a non-continuous surface layer which allows moisture vapor permeation thus retaining moisture buffer value (MBV) of non-treated wood or even enhancing it. Another object of the invention is a wooden surface having a non-continuous surface layer of micro- and/or nanoparticles obtained by such a method.

The acetylation of these wood species surprisingly results in a lowering of the water absorption by immersion at an end-grain surface. Thus, acetylation can be used for the purpose of lowering the water absorption by immersion at an end-grain surface of wood selected from the group consisting of Red Alder and European Alder. The invention also pertains to wood having tangential surfaces, showing a surprising extent of aggregate rays. Further disclosed is a method of providing stable discoloured acetylated Red Alder [and European Alder], comprising a step of subjecting the acetylated wood to UV exposure.

摘要： The present invention discloses the composition of a one-component, solvent-free water repellent for sealing joint and cut edges and tongue and groove of laminate and parquet floor elements laid without adhesive. The water repellent consists of saturated fatty acids having at least 10 carbon atoms in proportions by mass of 60 to 95 %, preferably stearic acid, and plasticizers in proportions by mass of 5 to 40 %, and optionally dyes, wetting agents and preservatives. Paraffinic white oils and silicone oils are used as plasticizers.
