摘要： The section member is secured on a milling machine (4) to automatically form an adzing thereon for fitting a locking device according to previously selected dimensions with a size selector (13). With a function selector it is possible to automatically form an opening for the hook of the locking device by drilling a front face of the section member to an appropriate size. The method provides a good finish with reduced tolerances, additional finishing steps being avoided allowing the locking device to be fitted and held in the section member without using screws and the like.

摘要： A method of extending the wear life of a substantially dense, non-oxide ceramic member interfaced at high temperatures with a metal of the type that forms a metal oxide containing compound under the temperature conditions prevailing at the interface with the ceramic member. The method comprises removing oxygen from between the ceramic member and metal during the interfacing. The removal of oxygen can be effected by directing a stream of nitrogen into the interface.

Each helical flute can include a first portion (37) having a first pitch angle and a second portion (39) having a second pitch angle different from the first pitch angle, the first portion extending from the forward end of the tool body to the second portion. A method for machining a stacked material is also disclosed.
