摘要： A sports-training ball assembly including a ball having an outer surface. The ball is a manually operated sports ball. The assembly includes an elastic cover coupled about the ball, wherein the elastic cover has a resting volume smaller than the volume of the outer surface of the ball such that the elastic cover is tightly coupled thereto. The cover completely encloses the ball. The cover includes an outer surface having a coefficient of friction smaller than a coefficient of friction of the outer surface of the ball such that the cover is slick compared to the ball. The elastic cover includes an elastic aperture therethrough sized to permit entry and exit of the ball therethrough so that the ball may be removed from and installed within the cover. The elastic cover includes elastane fibers. The cover consists of a single layer of fabric.

摘要： Generally disclosed is a golf ball having a core and a cover layer. The cover layer includes areas that are hard corresponding to the dimples, and areas that are soft corresponding to the land between the dimples. The cover layer is selectively coated with a coating material having a different hardness. As a result of the arrangement of the hard dimples and the soft land, the golf ball achieves reduced spin, and greater distances, when struck with a larger force (such as during a drive) while also achieving increased spin, and better control, when struck with a smaller force (such as during a chip).

摘要： A multi-layer ball includes a core made of a high energy material such as a highly neutralized polymer and a cover made of a deadening material. A specified relationship exists between the compression and coefficient of restitution of the core and of the ball. The initial velocity of the ball is higher than what would be expected based on the coefficient of restitution of the ball compared to prior balls. The use of the deadening material allows the coefficient of restitution of the ball to be relatively low, which can yield improved spinnability in the half wedge shots while maintaining driver distance.

摘要： This disclosure relates to golf balls made from a crosslinked thermoplastic polyurethane elastomer. The crosslinked thermoplastic polyurethane elastomer includes crosslinks located in the hard segments, where the crosslinks being the reaction product of unsaturated bonds located in the hard segments as catalyzed by a free radical initiator. The crosslinks may be formed from an unsaturated diol as a chain extender. The unsaturated diol may be trimethylolpropane monoallylether (TMPME). The golf ball may include the crosslinked thermoplastic polyurethane elastomer in the cover layer, in which case the cover layer may exhibit a high degree of scuff resistance.

摘要： The golf ball comprises all known cores provided with a cover produced by a polymer blend that combines the durability of a conventional cover with the feel of a traditional balata cover having a plurality of dimples in a modified dodecahedron pattern. The dodecahedron consists of twelve pentagons, which are subdivided into a total of sixty triangles. The triangles are then further subdivided into rows into which various diameter dimples are placed. The dimple pattern can be arranged to produce a pattern of ten great circles, which are free of dimples. The cover formulation is a blend of various ethylene/methacrylic acid copolymers wherein at least one copolymer has a high modulus and at least one copolymer has a moderate modulus forming a miscible blend having a PD1 index that maximizes durability while still maintaining feel and playability.
